Katie Fraser's Take a Buddy

These days many of us don't know our next-door neighbours. Often we live far away from family and friends. We all need company, but it can be difficult to know where to find it.

So a little while ago in Take a Break, I appealed for enthusiastic volunteers to set up Take a Buddy groups around the country. I hoped these groups could be a place where people of any age could meet for a cuppa and a chat.

We currently have Take a Buddy groups up and running or in the process of being set up in many areas of the country. Click here to find your nearest one.

Each group has its own local co-ordinator, so contact that person directly, either by e-mail or by telephone, for further information on when and where they'll be meeting.
